What Is Ximeter ACP-1920?

Ximeter ACP-1920 is a powder-form antifoam compound produced by Dow, based on polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) — a silicone polymer that is among the most effective and widely studied antifoaming agents for food-contact applications. However, trace amounts do remain. In the USA, FDA permits PDMS as an antifoaming agent at a maximum of 10 ppm in the finished food under 21 CFR 173.340.
